How's this? Am I rambling too much?
Dear Governor Schweitzer,
I was recently made aware of a bill that is in the works there in Montana, HB 418. I was also enlightened to the fact that PETA and its affiliates have threatened to boycott your great state for tourism and such. I sincerely hope and have faith that this will have no bearings on your stand on the matter. I have always admired Montana and all that it stands for in my eyes and the eyes of many others. I have always envisioned Montana as a home for pioneers, free-thinkers, and people who talk less and do more. It is high time one of our governmental bodies takes a stand and reinstates horse slaughter on our land under our regulations and standards! As a member of the "horse community" I am watching this with much anticipation. The horse economy has been hit by many blows recently and any little bit will help. I am certain that you are aware that the PETA radicals are few and far between and the majority of people would never think to let an issue such as this interrupt our tourism plans. Infact, in my opinion, I am even more excited to come and visit again knowing that the government will not be ruled by a few radical people and truely will represent the people that it governs.
Sincerely,
|
