How do If my mini is pregnant
My minature mare Mitzie is 22yrs old. She has been in with my red dun mini stud since last spring and I do not know if he bred her or not. Her teets were hanging lower then usual the other day but did not look as if they were getting any milk. She is 38" tall and always fat but she acts like she is always hungry these days. She eats more then her share of hay and gets a scoop of grain daily. I don't have the money to get her checked for being pregnant. I will check her bags again in the morning to see if there is any change. If she is in foal for this year I will hold off on selling her but she came into heat. Do some mares act in heat when closer to foaling?
