Rain was a rescue. Weve had here for about 2-3 years. She was extremely skinny when we got her and just months later she foaled a colt. Also has a colt that was just weaned. She throws very correct, tall babies with lots of spunk. I know of one filly and two colts that she had but Im sure shes had more. Shes an awesome mother and has no problems at all foaling. You really cant tell shes bred until the day before she foals. Shes UTD on all her shots, vet says shes between 15-20 years. She has some light roaning on her face. She is used to cats, dogs, cows, tractors, vehicles and all that. Rainy absolutely loves to ride, anyone can ride her in a round pen, Id recommend a confident rider when out and around. Even just a confident beginner is fine. She just doesnt always like to stop and go when you want her to. Has NEVER bucked, bolted, spooked or anything. I think she may have been a show horse in her early years, she may have some arab in her. I would possibly trade for her and will sell her seperete or with her colt which is a solid black Morgan/Paint colt. I have tons of pics, just e-mail for more infor or pics. GOOD HOME only please! |

Probably just the area you are in but I would re-do the ad and promote her as a ladies trail horse if she is good as you say !! You might even screen the potential buyers as to what they are looking for before they come out !! If someone is looking for a 15hh horse no sense in looking at a 14.1hh !! You can tell them about the rescue when they come to see her !! And when you rewrite the ad keep it positive but truthful !! And go up a couple of hundred on the price !! Some think if a horse is priced cheap then its a cheap horse which has nothing to do with price !! Its just the way people think !! And I would get one pic at least with her saddled and being ridden !!

i;ll agree with mart. a 14 to 14.2 horse is plenty big enough for most ladys but most men mail ego makes them think they need alot bigger horse. im a guy and stand 6'1'' and 185 and i ride a 14.2 horse which is plenty big enough. when i was younger i thought i had to have no less than a 15.2 but with age that has changed alot. good looking horse by the way.

ok I changed the ad and upped her to 600. I don't want to go too high, as I do want to find her a good home. She's not registered, and older, and really not a contest horse anymore, just a great trail horse. I'm sure she was something special in her younger days. I would have loved to have her than. I'm 5'5" and she's a good size for me. I wouldn't want to go much higher. Starting with a mean 15.2 gelding, she's a baby doll compared to him. I just started college though so I don't have the time to ride her and she just loves to ride. Anyway, here's the new ad, any better?:

You can tell them that she can be registered as a Pinto as pinto is a color and not a breed. Most people don't think of that and despite age she is still good looking I would take her is some walk/trot/canter classes; most people just don't think of that when they are looking for a papered or paperable horse. Was just another thought. I would also use words like colorful mare some people do phrase searches, a really good way to sell is to go into the advanced search and make sure she will pop up in all the search criteria she falls under.
good luck |

Whats her ad number and let me look at it !! It helps to see what its like and how appealing it it is to a prospective buyer !! She shows no Arab that I can see !! And I would stay away from mentioning breeds because a lot of people are very sprcific on what breeds they like and want !! Let them look and decide on her breed !! Point being if they think she looks quarter horse and thats what they are looking for they are more likely to buy her !!

In reviewing your ad, I think you have too much information. 1) You are saying anyone can ride in round pen, then great trail horse. Which is she? Good you are stating experience rider if that is the case on the trail. Sometimes less information is best and interested folks can contact you for more info. She is very nice looking mare. Best of luck and wouldn't list her for any less than $600.
