Default dishonest sellers

this woman and her friend live in Tennessee. They advertise on multiple sites.
As a novice I do not pretend to be able to evaluate a horse, but during the last sood dream. there are also m
even years i have lost 4000. dollars on supposedly beginner horses.
As I can not afford to be sued, I cannot mention these 2 womens names. The sad truth of the matter is there are many people in their forties and fifties looking for good horses. These people work for a living, and are trying to fulfill a childhood dream. There are also working parents trying to buy a horse for their son or daughter. All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good people to do nothing. this is a paraphrase, so forgive if it is not a direct quote.

There are many good horses on the market !! You just gotta know who you are buying from !! If you don`t know how to evaluate a horse yourself then take someone with you that does !! If you are going to go look at one and are not sure of the seller, just give them the day you will be there not a specific time !! That way you can watch as they catch and tack it up !! If they have them caught and tacked up when you get there ask them to turn it loose and do it again !! This is your money remember,,,you need to see that it is easily caught and saddled !! Tell the seller to ride it first !! If they refuse to do it then leave !! If they do,, watch for all the little things like ears back, refusing to do what is asked, stomping feet ect !! The horse should be bright eyed, head up and alert and do what is asked willingly, not dragging around !! Spend at least an hour if not more with the horse !! Watch for changes in eyes, attitude ect. in case they have been aced !! If a horse has been drugged the eyes will look sleepy, bottom lip is usually very relaxed and generally they will stand with one back leg cocked although some horses show none of these so its not a hard and fast rule !! The horse should not flinch if you reach toward the head or anywhere else !!
I am sure that others here have additional tips but the best thing is always taking someone with you that is experienced !! They can tell if its a horse you would be happy with or not !! And you can always ask here for recommended sellers in your area !!

Sorry you have been robbed so many times. I would never do that to anyone, especially about a horse. Too many things can happen. I have one really broke mare if you are interested. She is really for sale but to a good home would definitely consider it. A lady really wanted her a few weeks ago and told her would take $2K since she is so broke. She offered me $500 because there are so many black mare out there available. I advised her no way and to go buy one of her other prospects. I really think she was trying get this horse so she could resell it and not use it for trail as she stated. Thank goodness, haven't heard back from her about Candy or the other one she offered a ridiculous price for. I would rather keep them. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Well, in that case, I don't believe I will be dealing with them. I barrel race and work as an accountant so I can't afford to buy a horse that will buck me off or rear up or do something stupid. I am looking for a good quarterhorse around 5-8 years old, really broke, not a dead head, good handle, neck rein, all that. Something I can work cows on and maybe take to some exhibitions and train on barrels. As for Amy, I know her really well and have known her for many years. She has never aced a horse. She isn't going to tell people it's a kids horse if its not. She has kids and understands that. I spoke to her last week, and she isn't taking in anymore horses. She said it was too much trouble and no one wants them. She is getting into performance and trail horses now. I know she just found a home for her last rescue she had and won't get anymore. I told her I didn't blame her. She has such a big heart sometimes she just can't turn away a horse in need. If yall don't like her, that's fine, but she is my friend and I would appreciate it if yall would stop bad mouthing her. As for a horse, if you know of one that would fit the description I mentioned, let me know.
