Arrow Need Some Help-Looking To Buy a Horse

So a friend of mine accepted a horse as payment for money owed. He was told the horse was broke to halter, and shouldn't be a problem to break. However, he is not an experienced horse person, and this horse is going to need a lot of work. The mare is 3yrs old, and spooky as all get out. She's never been messed with at all.

He is wanting a horse for him to ride, and also for his cousin to ride as well. Both are inexperienced, but are going to be takin a few 'beginner' lessons from me. I know there are a few people here that are in the Middle TN area, so I'm hoping ya'll can help me keep a look out. I am looking for a good broke horse, for him, that is sane, even tempered (for the most part), and just a nice horse.

I'd let them ride mine, but Demon has spookiness issues. He's not really wanting to spend more than $1000 if possible. If ya'll could point me in the right direction or know of any horses for sale that fits the profile, please let me know!

Are there any other horse sites to look for horses for sale? I've tried the following sites:

Horseville
Equine.com
Equinenow.com
Equine Hits
Craigslist
Dreamhorse

Do ya'll know of any others to check?

Horseclicks, Horsetopia, come to mind !! But be careful who you deal with on any of these sites !! Genuinehorses is owned by a lady I know, in fact she bought my cutting bred gelding last year !! She usually has a few good riding horses !! She is trustworthy !! But hers may not be close to you !!!

Thanks ya'll. We've found a few that he wants to go look at. Now to figure out what to do with his 3 yr old. She's still mostly wild.
