i kid you not there was about 20 biggg wild birds 4 turtles 1 alligator all in my front yard, good thing my horses were in the pasture next to it and not in the pond pasture. it was the darndest thing. i tried taking wide expanded pics to see how many things i could fit in one pic. in the one pic i got 1 alligator 4 birds and 3 turtles. it was crazy i tell you. and quite. so weird right? they were everywhere!!! |

What's with the alligators Joseph? You have alligators voluntarily? I wouldn't get any alligator boots because I would be running the opposite way at such speed that I would just be a blurr! To me they are mammoth size copperhead snakes or worse. I know what seeing a copperhead does to me, so seeing an alligator would cause a major fight or flight response. The rest of the creatures are a beautiful sight!

I did not know there were alligators in Arkansas. You learn something new everyday on Horseville. Are they big enough to eat many fish? Are you allowed to shoot them if you need to or are they considered endangered? I 'm just phobic about them. I've seen them lunge out of Fla. waterways into people's backyards to grab animals and small children. I'm sure there are lots of people out there who just love them but I can't relate.

there plenty her in southeast arkansas. you can hunt them at certain times. i have been feeding them chicken leg quarters for a week or so. warden said they would be out here wed to get them.

Man that has the rent houses next to us lives a few miles away and said that a 4 footer showed up in his pond last year !! They are not endangered but have a regular season for hunting in most places !!
