Default Hypothetical matches....

Ok, I heard that some stud owners are allowing people to book breedings now for a few years down the road, basically locking in a low price in this horse market and hopefully seeing a turn-around.... I want to breed my mare WHEN and IF she can prove herself and be a money winner. And then only IF the horse market turns around. But I'm looking for stud prospects for her, I worry about too much line-breeding or in-breeding, she's already double bred Doc Olena and Peppy San Badger... I'm looking at spending under 3K and I want a LFG, and most likely shipped semen. So lets see who you guys can come up with for good crosses for her. I'd like to see some more modern names, like Highbrow Cat or Peptoboonsmal, or Dual Rey or well, you get the picture. Oh, Freckles Playboy!!! Here's her pedigree, lets see what we can find Torri San Warbler Quarter Horse

I like him!! I keep finding horses with no show record or a very little show record, and my girl deserves better. I can't argue with 2 world championships!!

When I first advertised my cutting bred for sale, a broker for them called me and asked if I would be interested in a trade for a mare bred to Sixteen Acres !! You can imagine how many times I have kicked myself for not taking that trade !!!

I put a breeding together so you can see the linebreeding. Torris Foal One Quarter Horse Simply delete it when you are ready.

I think she wants to stay away from those lines since she has them on the bottomside of the pedigree !! I think she wants a stallion that would compliment her mares breeding with similar working lines !!

Mart is right. I want to stay away from too much inbreeding. But those are awesome horses and if she weren't so linebred the way it is, I wouldn't hesitate. I'd kill for one of thier foals!!

Reminds me of something someone said, "It is only inbreeding when it comes out bad, otherwise it is linebreeding." That has stuck with me and pops in my head just about everytime this topic comes up.

I personally am not scared of double bred as close as in the second generation and beyond or triple bred in third generation and beyond. Lot of nice linebred horses out there.

Good luck with your quest.
