Talking Great News!!!

My mare Lilly is in foal by a friesian!!! I am so happy! At first it was discouraging trying to get Lilly bred ( She has had two foals before I owned her), first breeding her to a black quarter horse, but no dice. Than to the friesian, Falcon dance, they bred so we took her to get her checked, but sadly the vet said he couldn't feel anything..ugh.. so we took her back to re-breed, but she wasn't very romantic with him this time so I got even more discouraged , but we had her checked just in case, (we were going to use another mare if she didn't take) I will never forget when the vet said " oh, I feel something." He said it didn't feel like to weeks, it felt more like 2 months! She was actually bred the first time to Falcon but he couldn't find the fetus ( he didn't charge us again, because he didn't find it the first time, my fav. vet lol) Than he peformed the ultrasound on her and I saw the baby, I think he said it was a boy...I am so happy and can't wait until the arrival of the foal.

The arrival of a foal is very exciting and the waiting and care is very stressful, but well worth it in the end.

Congratulations
