She's HYPP N/N (not like it matters either ) She is an Impressive (no pun intended) horse without the papers anyway.

You got me!! I forgot. Here are some pics of her at fair last week. She's not the picture of good conformation, but she is worth her weight in gold with the kids.
I had to include the butt shot because I think she has got the biggest butt of a non-draft horse I've seen. That is me riding her if it gives you an idea of her size (doing egg and spoon) |

Candice, Congrats on having such a well bred quarter horse! I don't know a whole lot about QH pedigrees but I do know how important Three Bars is and he is all over the place on that pedigree. Don't it make you feel proud? Too bad about her back, I bet she was a real beauty queen back in her prime. Maybe one of those special pads will help her.
So now I have a real surprise for you. We are distantly related by horse. This summer I was looking at some old family photos and found a track photo of my cousin's TB winning a race at Beulah Park, Grove City, OH in the early 60's. The horses name was Three Bears. His sire was Provocation, one of the few TBs sired by THREE BARS! You see now that I'm all horsey I know how to look the free pedigree. So I thought I'll just look up Three Bears pedigree and see what's there. You could have knocked me over with a feather. From what I've read about Three Bars, not much is known about the few TBs he sired. It was just kind of a rumor his owner heard. Three Bears came from New Mexico. It didn't say where Provocation came from. My great uncle and cousin bred and raced TBs their whole life. They worked hard and made a living but were never rich. I was shocked to see his pedigree and tickled too. I don't have a lot of people I share this kind of news with who would appreciate it. I get excited about this little gem of family history and I don't get much of a reaction, just a puzzled look. LOL Three Bears turned out to be a real war horse. He is described as a winner and ran 151 races. So your mare and my cousin's TB must be cousins of some sort! You can tell her you found out about one of her TB relatives and she can be proud of him. He was quite a horse.

She is heavy bred Three Bars, and she should fly. Three Bars is a great influance in the QH pedigree and most horses have him some where.
Three Bars Quarter Horse Legend Candace, it is a good thing she is N/N. If she was anything but, you would have to feed her different so she would not have an attack, unless she was none symptomatic, and then you still have a chance of an attack. That is if she was N/H. So knowing her HYPP status is important. She is a beauty and congrats.
