Default He's homozyous!!!

I finally got the test results back on my colt and he is homozygous. Now I wil l have to wait and see what my other two mares have and how they test out. If they end up being homozygus colts, then I will have a tough decision. I'm so excited. Rocket 072609.JPG OOPS!, misspelled, homozygous, dah.

I know what you mean. I have a stud colt that I have got to get tested before I put him up for sale. He is Bugs Alive in 75, Dash for Cash, Easy Jet Too, and Leo. All 4 of them are one line off of his papers.

Wink Decisions, decisions.

Thanks 4J, anymore all decisions are tough when it comes to selling horses. I finally sold my yearling stud colt or I should say, gave him away. He's not far away so will get to keep up on his progress. They also want to buy my new stud colt and he is turning into a beauty. Here is pic of the three month old and he's gong to be huge. He's shedding out to chestnut and who knows may be black/white like his dam.

Smile Need to downsize.

Not breeding this year and need to downsize. I have way too many horses and my daughter wants out. So trying to sell about 10 right now. All are registered except the quarter horse. There is a lot of interest in the chesnut colt, so maybe I will get lucky.

here are a couple of new pictures of my colt that we think is homozygous. These were taken the day before we weaned him last week. He has a ghost on the right side and a micky mouse on the left side so his barn name is micky. I haven't decide what to do for a registered name yet. I have got to make up my mind and send his papers off as soon as we get back from state. I am thinking...Skippers Easy Cash
Sire: Skippers Leo
Dam: Texas Hero but she has Bugs Alive in 75, Dash for Cash, and Easy Jet Too on her papers. Any ideas?????

Default Wow!!

He is marked up beautifully. We called our boy Mickey also until he started growing so fast and now call him Moose. How about Skipper's Texas Cash? I have to really think about names. My homozygous papered name is Shaker's Knight Magic aka Rocket and Moose's is Firewalker's Skyhawk. Still have two due in Sept/Oct. I like to see them is action and their behavior before chosing a name. Let us know how you do at State.

Smile Homozygous

If both parents are homogyzous then definitely homozygous. If one Heterozygous you need to have them test. Just by looking and seeing the spots very good possibly if both are not homo. Get them checked to see as they are worth a lot more if they are and you ever plan on selling.
