Mikarod,

The man had the horse caught when we got there and in a small paddock....He goes to get the horse and he can hardly keep his eyes open....head down and dragging his hooves when he tried to walk....THE GUY GAVE THE DARN HORSE WAY TOO MUCH DOPE!!!......Tried to say that the horse was tired because he was ridden earlier in the day!....Not to mention the conformation issues and the split and cracked neglected hooves!.....and the damage to his left eye….had a large grey area covering most of his eye!!.....The horse was not at all what the man had claimed…..

Good gawd...what a piece of scum. Sorry you wasted your fuel. :( At least you didn't buy the horse without looking though!

He is nice !! And I don`t see anything major wrong other that he has obviously been a pasture colt and is a bit butt high which is pretty normal as well for a yearling !! I would buy him in a heartbeat !!

I just need to check his AQHA registration just to make sure that he is bred the way they have him on allbreed. If anyone other than Candice (Thanks again for the help Candice!)would like to help, his AQHA name is Dobbin Duals

I love & hate it,

I remember years (to many) ago, when I was looking for a good barrel horse to start. I must have looked at 100 head. They were never what the seller claimed. It was pretty sad, I thought I would start making deals on the phone and the seller would have to pay for my fuel if the said horse was not what he/she claimed it to be. It was just so frustrating.
I did find one, she wasn't perfect but we were perfect for each other. She was just 4 and trained for the track and never ran. After a couple years, we did poles and barrels, team penned, you name it. I took her everywhere riding. I won my first check on her. She will always have a special place in my heart.
RIP Dukes Smokin Doll

Sorry Garrett, I hadn't seen this until just now. I can't do another look up for a few more days, I'm out of money for the month on my account. But he is on allbreed if this is him...

Dobbin Duals Quarter Horse

If that is him, WOW!! Good luck in your search!! On a side note, I don't know if coming up this way is too far (I'm sure it is) I found what sounds like the perfect horse for you for $1800 if I remember right. If you would consider coming up here, let me know and I'll get you the contact info.
