Default Maybe looking at a horse

Here is a copy of her pedigree Queen Annie Lance Paint

Here is what her ad says--- 8 yr solid buckskin mare. Very pretty. good build. Needs work in some areas so best suited for int.-experienced rider. Started and worked on barrels and poles. Not interested in them. Has worked cows shows HUGE interest. Pics avail upon request. Roping potential? Would consider trade for barrel horse (trained or prospect). I dont rope so dont know much about it but shows tons of interest in cows and very active around them. Could be slown down for pleasure prospect too?

And the email back from her owner--- Beezy is a good horse, I will be honest she acts a little green sometimes but she is reliable. I've left her sit in the pasture for a month got on and moved cows with her, if she has a confident rider she will do as asked or try, if she knows she can get by with something she will try it. She does sometimes need to be guided through something, if you're looking for a trail horse she will go along with other horses no problem every time, take her out by herself and she sometimes needs to be reminded she's not in charge. She's not mean in any way, just not confident but like I said, the more confident her rider is the easier she is about things.

Thinking about trading for Bella, not sure though... Thoughts?

So you are trading one that needs some time and has a great pedigree,, for one that also needs some time and has a "nothing to brag about" pedigree ?? Not sure that makes sense to me !!!! How much is she asking for this horse ??

Thanks mart! I needed that. This is not the horse for me. I just need to bide my time and wait to sell her and find me a GOOD horse for me, not the kids or hubby, but ME!!!

Glad you came to that decision !! I would have hated to see that trade done !! Did you get a chance to see that website I told you about ?? There is a palomino gelding (I think) that is up for sale because the owners want to start a young horse !! Not sure if they have one yet but he is priced at $3500. and that would be a good trade !! And your horse would be finished out like she should be !! And you would get a good horse that has been owned by the same family for years !! And well trained !! But !! Its in Houston !! You could however look for something similar in your area !! Just don`t take less than what your mare is worth !! Trades are difficult to come out even on !! You really got to know your business !!

I did get a chance to look. It looks great. I am going to try to go it on my own with the help of the trainers I work for. I saw that horse you are talking about, if it were different timing, that may be doable as the people I work for haul down that way quite a bit, but I think they will be local until after the new year. But that is a nice horse.
