lunanightwolf I have a dachshund mix and he is a picky eater as well. he'll only eat when he has water or if you standing there with him. he is skinny one day then well be great weight the next day

That's really funny. She's like that too. I think she's just really S-P-O-I-L-E-D! My mom treats her like a little grandkid or something and feeds her food sometimes. :( grr I tell her not to too!! Because we did just have a stool and urine test last year when we were worried about weight and she is OK. And we were just recently (last week) in at the vet with her for a different reason ( paw caught in door by accident by 8 y.o. boy- long story but now she's A-OK! :) and I mentioned my concern to the vet and she said that she looks great- she's a healthy weight and she'd rather see a dachshund on the skinny side because they're so prone to being overweight, which is, of course terrible for their backs. So, I think we're ok. Just keeping up on brushing her teeth and smacking my mom's hand when she tries to feed her! ha ha But thank you so so so SO much for all your wonderful advice everyone!
