Default 4-H and Summer Horse Shows

When I was reading Candice17's post requesting advice on what to take to the fair, I was absolutely amazed at the organization and sheer amount of stuff needed. I didn't get to take an animal in 4-H, it was sewing & outdoor cooking, YUCK. I did go watch my cousins.

So how did everybody do at the shows this summer? Any good stories about triumphs, disasters, disasters that almost happened but someone saved the day, anything really? I know it's such an undertaking that there have to be some good stories out there.

Our regular horse show season in over, we just have the Arkansas State Championship Show left on Labor Day weekend. We have 3 horses qualified to go. We leave the Wed before on the 2nd at about 4AM and will be back late on Monday. My horses with hubby riding is qualifed in 2 classed, Men's Western Pleasure and Jr. Horse Western Pleasure, 2 year old full brother to my horses that belongs to ranch owners is qualifed in 2 year old snaffle bit class and 3 horses is a mare belonging to a customer that a friend of ours is riding. He has her qualifed in Men's Western Pleasure, Jr. Horse Western Pleasure and his niece is riding her in Walk-Trot. All are for sale and can be seen on my website.
The funniest story this year was when we took the 2 yr old to his first show. He stopped on the rail next to the bleachers and stuck his head over the fence like he was saying HI look at me!!!!!!LOL
