Well, I got some Barred Rocks, they seem pretty docile. I've had them two days now and I'm not sure how long I need to keep them in the pen before I let them roam free in the yard.

I would suggest the Barred Plymouth Rocks or the Rhode Island Reds. The Red roosters can get aggressive sometimes, like I have 1 awful rooster that will eat your lunch up, but 5 others that are really docile. Don't know what that's about. The Production Reds are excellent, too, but non-aggressive.
