Red face I am getting worried about 4H pigs

So this is for farm animals? right?
well I have a problem with my 4H pigs, so if anyone knows alot bout pigs please help.
I have about 1 month to go till fair and I am scared my 4H pig wont make weight. I dont know why I feed them as much as they can hold plus I wet it down so they think their getting something special so they eat more and they eat, well, like pigs.
But their not getting any bigger! I think my gilt is around 150 pounds and we have to have at least a 200 pound pig to show. So is there any feed I can get that will boost their weight gain? cause Im willing to do/try anything (anything that isnt outlawed in the rule book for showing) to get them to stay healthy but get more fat on them!

We don't do pigs but some friends of ours kids have show pigs and they feed one that comes from Purina. I think that it is show grow or something like that. I know their pigs are huge. Check with your feed store or a Purina dealer near you.

feed them table scraps. We had some of the biggest pigs the years that we had fewer dogs and fed leftovers to the pigs. They love eggs but I dont know how much weight that would help with.

Default Give that Pig a Beer!

I read about your pig problem and later this popped in my mind. About 15 years ago there was a MASSIVE hog at the Ohio State Fair and the man who owned him said the secret was that he gave him 2 cans of beer a day, like one in the am and one in the pm.
I don't know if this is against 4-H rules but I thought I better pass it on. It is a grain product!

OMG really moodygirl? well when you do think about it beer is a grain product. That is by far the most interesting thing i have heard so far.
Ya I dont think its againts 4H rules after all IT IS a grain.
We used our truck to haul screenings dumped at the railroad and it got rotton the stuff that fell between the bed liner thing then it smelled like beer hahaha talk about getting drunk just by sniffing the bed of the truck!
But yes I will see if my pigs are beer pigs, I got nothing to loose I am way below weight I think its cause of the odd ball weather we have been having in MT, LOTS of rain then heat then rain then heat.

Talking I'll take a 12 pack to go, please.

I swear it's true about that giant hog and his beer! He was like the biggest hog in the country or the world or something. He was on the news in Columbus and the reporter asked the old farmer in bib overalls about how he got him so big and that's when he told him about the beer. Why I remember that after all these years, I don't know. I've never even owned a pig, so why do I remember? I am a font of useless information. Lets hope it works! Maybe you're the reason I stored that away in my brain. God does work in mysterious ways! Please let us know how it turns out'

If your town has a bakery outlet, they sell trash bags of old bread for pennies !! Ours here is a trash bag full for $3.00 !! It s a grain product and our pigs always did great with it added !! We fed ours shorts with corn added and some of the old bread all wet down the night before !!

Musket Man came in 2nd to Rachel Alexandra in the Woodward Stakes on Sat. She ran a great race. I thought I'd read about Musket Man, I remembered he placed in the money in some big races. His trainer gives him a Guiness Beer everyday, says it helps his appetite. Sometimes after a race, or a good work out they have one together. It figures a TB would drink the high priced stuff. How are those pigs?

I know we give beer to rescue horses that really need the weight, mix it in with their feed once every 2 days and it seems to help. Maybe it will help with pigs too. My granddad fed his pigs bread mixed in with some egg and their pig feed and I know his were huge!
Good luck!
