Default Casting Secretariat Movie

They are making a movie about Secretariat and casting horses that resemble him. No racing experience required. Because of Secretariat's short back and round hip they are looking at QUARTER HORSES as well as TBs. Rusty Henderickson, is the man who wrangled the horses for the Seabiscuit and Dreamer movies. He will personally review all pictures sent in and choose the horses. There will be 2 main Secretariats and 4 stand ins.

Qualities they are looking for are temperment, looks, and soundness. Calm temperment is key because of the need for multiple takes. The horse does not have to look exactly like Secretariat because they can use equine makeup to create the correct markings.

Email photos to: casting@secretariat.com
You have to fill out a casting form at : secretariat.com Additional information is also available at secretariat.com
Pictures of Secretariat are available at: ExclusivelyEquine.com

I'm just so excited. I read this on TheHorse.com today. I LOOOVE Secretariat. No matter how many times I watch his Belmont I get chills down my back. I'll never forget watching him race. I think he was the best racehorse, ever. It's about time they did a moviie

He was something else when it came to running. I am like mg, its about time they made a movie about him.
I only have one chestnut horse and it is a broodmare bred to skipper. She is broke to ride but by the time they cast for the movie, she will either have the paint baby or she will be so big prego that she wouldn't work if they would use a mare in filming.

I actually have a great grandson of Secretariat that is built and looks quite a bit like him. Still a stud though and can be a handful at times. If he was calmer i'd submit his pictures just for fun!!!! I'm sending him for training this coming month. Too bad I didn't send him sooner!!!!

Send one anyway and explain the situation. By the time they get ready to shoot the movie, he may be calm enough to use. You never know.

I agree with 4j. Send the pics in anyway and see what happens just for the fun of it. And send the pics in here for us to see! I'm just pea green with envy.
