Default WHY WON'T MY PARENTS LISTEN????

:x I have two horses that i love alot that unfortunatly i am selling. my parents are making me sell them because they are tired of paying for feed, hooves, and soon hay(we get that for free right now). They said i can take horsebackriding lessons, but the closest ones are 45 mins away so im sure theyll get tired of that. But we bought our mare and filly for 1000 and the mare was in the pasture for 2 yrs as a broodmare, and her filly never handled. So in a yr and a half, i have really worked with them and halter broke the filly and shes almost ready to ride. I am asking more than what we bought them for, for the work i have personally put into it, and whenever i want to, i cant buy another 2 horses for 1000. So my father has a friend who came to look at my horses as a potiental buyer, my dad told him we only paided 1000 for both, so ofcourse thats what he offers. "the filly's worth about 400 and the mare 600". even though both of them are freakin APHA reg. and the mare is very broke, 10 yrs old, and one of the prettiest colored horses ive ever seen. We asked if he would just buy the filly for now, and give me a chance to sell the mare, shes worth more than 600$, but he wont buy the filly without the mare, so that just makes me think he just wants her cause he can get her cheap and we cant sell the mare until we sell the filly first. He just wants my mare to breed and sell the foals, but my parents dont care they just want to get rid of them, it really makes me want to cry. WHY WONT THEY JUST LISTEN TO ME???

Just wondering how old are you? If you are old enough to get a job as a ranch hand then you can help pay with the feed and care of your horses, its better then not paying anything at all right? Parents can be a handfull to deal with, trust me. I have had tons of experiences with mine, just about everything you can think of. Nice thing about working at a ranch is that all your money is under the table- you dont have to pay taxes- and you can work at more than just one ranch and you can alter your time. Like lets say you work at three different ranches, like i do, i alter them so get get there 3 times a week or alteast two times. Like on monday i will work at two ranches for about 2-3 hours each then the next day i work at one ranch all day and so on and so forth. You would have plenty of time for school and your horses as well, some trainers will even trade your work for free bored and feed, so when you get done working, you can work your horse/horses and have a nice place to do so. I get paid WAY more money then if i was to work at a fast food joint- over $1000 a month which is pretty good for being 15 years old. However i re-invest my money into my horses, so far i have 18 thousand dollars invested not including the new shelter we are building and the small arena thats going to be put up. Hope this helps some! If you email me nor-cal_girl15@hotmail.com i can tell you more about the pricing of your horses and help you out as much as i can!

Or have you thought about maybe giving lessons on one of your horses?
That way you could earn money, and hopefully keep your horses.
After all, you said there wasn't a horse farm in the nearest 45 min.
