What does being a christian have to do with how long the earth has been here? Nothing, GOD is letting the animals and people die and suffer, where is HE in all this? And if your such a christian, why are you calling names and being so hateful? Is this the behavior your GOD would approve of? What do you have to say to HIM about all this? Don't you think He would want us to feed the people instead of them starving and the horses being rescued?

Buddysgirl, actually Christians beleive the earth to be around 10,000 years old. It does have to do with how old the world is. We have learned that through studying the Bible. And if we beleive in the Bible, we beleive that's how old the world is. I shouldn't be being so hateful, no, God wouldn't approve of it. But we all sin, and you people were being more hateful to start with. I do know that he gave us animals, but we are taking advantage of that privilage. He created animals and to see them treated the way that they are disgusts him I'm sure. Yes people are more important and starving people need to be fed, but the reality is that horse meat isn't going to feed the starving people, there is no legislation that is going to require this.

No, there is nothing to say the people could get the meat, I know theres too much money in export fot it to be given away or used here in the US. Unless all the whiners would just stop and let meat be meat, like livestock should be. We should not be judging anothers food. We are susposed to have choices here. I choose not to eat meats while others choose to eat steak, frog,chicken and pork. Big deal!! We eat crab and shrimp that was told to us NOT to eat! The out cry should be about transport and export, who gets the money and who gets the meat. Who gets rich, and fed and who starves and loses their homes.
You talk about "you people" and really "YOU PEOPLE" should be ashamed of yourselves for letting this happen in our America. PEOPLE are starving and PEOPLE are losing their way of life.

Buddysgirl: I guess I don't quite get you. I don't understand how you keep getting back to the subject of starving people losing their homes. Yes, it's a terrible thing, but I'm not quite sure how you directly relate it to horse slaughter, because it is not related. I also don't get why you blame MY PEOPLE (you said 'you people) for people starving and losing way of life. I believe that to be because of the economy, not directly related to horse slaughter. Why should we be ashamed of ourselves for letting WHAT happen in America. What are you even talking about? You continue to rant on and on about starving people in the world and you are making NO sense and making a FOOL of yourself.

As for you kr, you don't have anything in common with anyone on here.
You have stated in past posts (I am not going back and read through all of that stupid shit again to find it), that there were not untrainable horses and jumped all over me because I sent one to the killers because he was untrainable and a danger to everyone around him. Now you are saying that this horse was mental so he was put down. So 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of another, same difference. He was UNTRAINABLE. The one we sent to the killer was mental. So what if I made $200 to buy feed for other horses instead of spending over $200 to have him put down and buried. 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other, it still amounts to the same thing. THE HORSE IS DEAD.

But 4j, it DOES NOT amount to the same thing. The horse was HUMANELY put down. The horse you had was NOT. You made a horse go through pain, terror, fear, and misery. I, on the other hand didn't. I wouldn't care if I got a MILLION dollars for a horse that went to slaughter, I still wouldn't be that cruel. I think it is a form of animal abuse, honestly I do. To sale a horse into that kind of evil cruelty. I don't have anything in common with anyone on here. You can say that negatively, I think of it as a POSITIVE thing. I don't want to have anything in common with someone that would sale a horse into terror and cruelty for 100 or so dollars. I would be proud to tell someone that I have nothing in common with someone who thinks it's ok to mercilessly kill thousands of INNOCENT horses.

Well KR, since you so proudly say that you have nothing in common with anyone on here, then you should get the picture and finally understand that you are not welcome here anymore.
Why would you want to keep coming to a place where you have nothing in common with anyone and think that we are a bunch of redneck nicks with no brains who are rude, cruel and inhumane.
And I would bet that if it came right down to it, if offered enough money you would sale one to slaughter and by the way how do you know that somewhere down the road that some horse that you have sold hasn't ended up as ALPO. Oh YOU DON'T, because if you have ever sold, donated or given away more than a couple of horses, then there is no way that you can know where they have ended up in their lives.
