yeah KR blah blah blah, I'm not the one who looked up posts for you to use in your reply. I was nice in the beginning until you started calling names to everyone, not just me. Besides, arguing about who said what in what post is child play no matter how you look at it. Why don't you just PM 4J, meet her up the road so she can beat your ass how about that?!! Or better yet, why not slide down my way so I can beat your ass and then you can take some of these unwanted horses to your rescue and get them back into the population like you say you do.

You have it wrong again, READ it right. I said that my husband, who is the professional trainer and myself combined have been training longer than you have been alive. He has been training horses for 40 years and I have been training horses for about 23 years. 20 of those have been training together. That FYI means that unless you are older than 63, then we have been training longer than you have been alive.
I looked back at your post and yes you have posted on other topics, which is great, you actually got off of this subject. I understand that it is an important topic for you, but you have beat it to death. We all know how you feel, so move on. You have only made 26 posts out of 157 that did not pertain to slaughter. GET OFF of the slaughter issue and enjoy the rest of the group and topics.
BG, I wish she would come on down here but when she does, she better bring a trailer, a very very very large one because I am not going to beat her ass, I am going to load her ass down with horses. We were at a show yesterday but a friend called us that was at the sale and said there were over 40 horses there last night and nearly all of them were saleing for under $100. Most for $25 to $70, high seller was $325, for a broke to death black and white paint kid horse. Wish I would have been there, I would have bought it.

I know what you mean 4J, I went to our local sale last night too and there were lots of ponys and kid horses that sold for next to nothing. Even some nice, broke riders that no saled at this auction to keep them from going to kill buyer. What a shame, if I had more room and money right?!

Kansas,
I think that 4j has a valid point........Why not give this topic a rest and let everyone get to know more about you and what your ideas are. You obviously have more in-common with us than you were willing to admit. If you are not going to leave the forum, then you should do as 4j suggested and participate in this community as "one of us", a person that loves the horse!! That is the common bond that keeps you coming back here, is it not?

Hope to see you posting on other topics!!

KR, The Government question was legitament, I was not mocking you. I understood you perfectly.
No-I did not, still do not-which you do not seem to comprehend-Praise the Gov of Montana----that is what you misunderstood and still do not understand. Good Grief!
Sorry it is too simple for you. For the 3rd time: 'For Sure' meant Gov Schweitzer should receive a letter in support of this bill. FOR SURE WRITE THE GOV OF MONTANA! Do You get it now KR?
NOW- That is the last time I will explain this to you. IT IS REAL SIMPLE! SORRY If you cannot understand this! I cannot make it any simplier my Dear.....I don't, 'NEEDS SOME EXPLAINING'!- as you put it.

The important thing is this-we will have more to discuss on the topic of equine slaughter once Montana is into the planning stages and breaks ground on the Facilities. We need to make sure it is done humanely and through equine professionals. I intend to be a big part of that process as I have equine who need to go through those facilities and I want them treated with as much dignity and respect as possible for the circumstances.

Way to go 4J: I have several rescues she can rehab and adopt out. All she has to do is come get them-plus pay for brand inspection, coggins and health.
2 of them are in their mid 30's, I also have a 6 yr old that will, kick, bite, buck, won't tie, run you over, paw you, AND CHEWS MORE WOOD THAN A BEAVER-NEVER SEEN A HORSE CHEW WOOD THIS BAD, SHE DAMN NEAR SHITS TOOTH PICKS!...Oh-she does not willingly trailer load either.
KR can take all of them if she can get them in her trailer without hurting them----which I have done to get them here to my home. Lets see how good she [kr] is!
If she [KR] can do it, than I will applaud her efforts and be in support of her rescue business.
I will remain-however-a staunch supporter of horse slaughter.
DOES THAT SOUND FAIR?

First off westmar, your wording was confusing. It was NOT write our gov. for sure or For sure write the gov. of Montana, it was: our gov. for sure: Brian Schweitzer.
Ok. If at all possible I would be glad to take some horses from your evil hands. I'm sure I could do something with them.

How do you know I'm not walking the walk? I do have rescue horses that I save and adopt out to good homes. I know I can't save them all and I never said or implied that I could. Do I think that having unwanted horses is unnecessary? Yes. Do I think that the racing industry should be better controlled? Most certainly. Do I think that with more publicity to this issue more individuals would be willing to help and adopt a rescue horse? Sure 'nough.
I never said that I could rescue all of them. That is physically impossible, but I do think that slaughter can be made unnecessary.

I never claimed to be a superwoman, or anything other than the average person. I never said I could rescue every horse out there, I know that's not possible, I'm not a little girl that loves horses and wants to own thousands. There doesn't need to be unwanted horses, because they aren't needed. Thousands of horses are bred in the racing industry each year, only to be 'not good enough' and thrown away. It's not fair for US to breed these horses and then mistreat and eventually give them away to a inhumane death.
You can't make the slaughter inhumane. It's not going to happen. All dif. kinds of horses, big and small; tall and short; go to slaughter. It's not going to be easy to create a system that will cater to them all, regardless. Besides, having a nailgun shot through your head can't feel too good, especially if you are still sometimes completely concious after the fact.
As for jobs for Americans, the main people working there will probably, i'm sure, be Mexicans that have crossed the border illegally, this will only make our taxes go up.
If you are that concerned about American's having jobs then maybe buy only products made in the USA. Which, I'm sure, you do not do. (I'm not saying I do)
What toothpaste do you use? Shoes? Washing detergent? I'm not suggesting you change, I'm only saying that if that is one of the reasons you support slaughter maybe you should support American jobs in other ways too.
