Default STOLEN Palomino Gelding!

Hello all! I am in the middle of a huge "sting" on a man that has my horse and has not contacted me as to his new location. He has changed his phone number, address, everything.

He is going to a rodeo in Stillwell, OK this weekend. If anyone could PLEASE contact me to try to help me get my horse back, I REALLY appreciate it! PM, email, ANYTHING.

I do not want to post his name as he could use google to see if I'm writing about him.

Here is a link to his flier:

thanks 4j...sorry I haven't been on here much. Without a horse I kind of feel like I don't belong, but now I'm madder than an old wet hen....

Hey Mik !!! Hopefully you still have all his papers/ medical records ?? Contact the rodeo association that is sponsoring it !! Tell them the horse is stolen !! Did you sell him on a pay-it-out basis or lease him or what ??
Let me know details and I will see if anyone on my other group is going !! Lot of people from OKLA. there !!
Have you thought about contacting netposse ???

I did it on a lease basis, but then he had trouble with his truck, so I told him to pay me back when his finances got more stable. BUT, then he disconnected his phone, changed his number and moved.

Oh...and today I found out that he sold Max to his uncle, who knows about the lease agreement, who outright bought Max from him. Now...I called him asking to see my horse and he said "It's my horse. I bought him and for $5,000 you can get him back." My attorney says otherwise.

Did you keep all papers ? Vet records, registration ect ?? If you did then the uncle and the person that leased him do not have a leg to stand on !! You can essentially go get him and he couldn`t say a thing !! But since you are in Okla. let your attorney handle it !! Texas would be no problem !! It is the same thing if you lease a car and attempt to sell it,, its illegal !!

Please tell me that you had a lease contract when he got Max from you. I am sure that you did because I think I remember us talking about it on here. But then again I turned 49 today and I have CRS...Can't Remember Shit...in my old age. LOL
I would be fuming mad and going after my horse.

I have vet records of the wolf teeth being removed, lease agreement and I am now looking for the registration papers that are SOMEWHERE in the house!!

I WILL find those papers and if I can't find them, guess who is getting another copy!

I would get all that together and have a cop go with me and go get my horse !! That is essentially stealing and the uncle knowingly bought stolen property !! Then is trying to use extortion in getting you to buy your own horse back !!
