Just joined the forum and would like to introduce myself and my dog. I have a 6 y.o. german shepard name Annie who is spoiled rotten. Thinks she is our child and human. She is lying here beside me as I type. Sleeps next to my bed, close to me and the nights I work she sleeps next to the hubby. My age is 56 and have been married for 37 years. Live in Missouri and just enjoying life. Have 7 grandkids that are the apple of gramma's eye. Hi to all horse lovers.

i have a husky/sheperd mix and she is GREAT. she is going on six.
we rescued her from the animal shelter when she was 8 months old. she got sick and it stunned her growth. she isn't as big as she should be but she is such a sweetheart.
she is probably the best dog anyone can have. the mixes are the ones to go for

Hello Cherokee Rose, welcome to the forum. You will find many great people & their animals to talk with and about here. I have a 3 year old Great Pyrenese, male called Ollie. He is snow white or as the breeders like to say "with out color". He is a super good dog. I have 6 horses and 6 cats, but the cats, all but one make their home in the barn. I am 64 years old and still ride, drive & go to local shows.

I agree! Most all of my dogs have been mixed, and are the best dogs. I have an english mastiff, a drop off, a dachshund mix, another drop off, a terrier/chiwawa mix who is 15 and a big black something or another.

I have had many mix breeds during the years. They do make great house pets, good with kids as a general rule. My pyrnese is totally family oranted, he does not care for strangers, but they are guard dogs. He has never biten or anything, but I know other people who have them and theirs have. So they really do guard.

I have several.Here is just one of them.He is 8 or 9 years old.His name is Cheif,and is one heck of a huntin' dog.Even at his age.
