Fill up a watergun with an ammonia/water mix and shoot her with it. It won't kill her, but she sure as heck won't want to come back.

ra66 let me know if you find something that works. I have the same problem with the dog accross the street from me. It was ok when I only had my lab but now that we have the great dane puppy the lab does NOT want that other dog at the house and goes after it and i really dont want either dog getting hurt.

We have the same problem. We either shoot up in the air,or use a BB gun to scare them off.Neither hurts the dog.Our neighbors pups are gettin' up around our place, but we just take 'em back home. However the other nieghbors pit bulls are highly dangerous.Already killed the nieghbor's dog,the one with the pups. They had their dog tied out,and thoses pit bulls killed the poor thing. We are allowed to shoot them, but we do the same over and over, and they could kill a child if those dang dogs wanted to.

I have this problem and have found a solution.
I have pure bred Heelers and do not want any mixed puppies. Now when loose dogs show up I catch them and do my best to sell or give them away, if owner refuses to keep them home or no owner can be found. A few months ago I had a huge Mastif show up. He tore my fence up. (My dogs are in a fenced yard. But I made $200 off of him. Sold a Lab for $100. I made a effort to find owners and fed the dogs while they were here. Living on a dead end road and people seeing my dogs outside in their yard, I get alot of dogs and puppies dumped on me. I do my best to sell them too, or give them away. Now Pit Bulls, I'd get rid of them ASAP. I would not be comfortable selling or giving one away. I think I'd try to find a shelter to accept them. |
