Not to me, it actually seems harder but I think it's because I'm new to it. I love to run. My horse is bouncy and I have alot of fun on him.

I ride western, when I was younger I did takes some courses in the english riding but never cared for it much. The lesson's were free, because my Uncle was a blacksmith for there training facility. I will stick to my western saddle any day.

definete western, only because you cant barrel race in a english saddle, trust me, i tried lol
Plus who says you cant jump in a western saddle? i do it all the time, just gotta be careful of the horn.
There was this girl who tried barrel racing at a barrel series here once in a english saddle, we all laughed our heads off at her. Anytime you ride in Montan in a english, your gonna get laughed at only because we are a barrel racing and rodeo state. lol, sorry but I prefer western

Western for sure, although I have been trying english lately. I take the english riders with me on trail and yeah we laugh our heads off at them! One of the girls has finally started to let her horse have some fun and now she is hooked on trail riding the western way even in her english saddle and helmet.
