Barrelracer11: No offense, but I think you are trying to sound a little too special. This is different than barrel racing. If you have a well-trained barrel horse you just hold on and let it do whatever. This horse is proabably one of the most well-trained I have seen! Stacey is also! This is amazing and beautiful! I could watch it over and over! The training blows me away. I couldn't get my horse to stop without a bridle if my life depended on it, much less slide stop.

But i am going to start my 3 year old on natural horsemanship. I like the Parreli patterns.
maybe someday I will post a video of our first ride!
There is a big difference between taking a barrel horse which runs only 1 pattern and only one and run that bareback and bridleless and doing a reining pattern even a free style pattern bareback and bridleless. I do a lot of my reining bridleless as it is a good way to learn to stay out of your horses way and even do it at shows in the practice ring however I do not think I will be trying it in a class.

I will say that I have seen Stacy show many times and she is much better in the free style then at a regular class but still fun to watch.

That is what is great about a reining horse. They are so well trained that to take it to the next level is not a huge jump. However not every horse could do a freestyle bareback and bridleless it is not a fare jump to get them to perform all the maneuvers bridleless. I do it with all my reiners. It is a good way to work on staying out of your horses way. Showing reiners bridleless goes back more years then Stacy it old.

Total awesome. I wish I was young enough to try that. I have QH mare that is so smart, you just tell her something and she does it. She must be part human. Whe will even round up the other horses with just a voice command and was never taught that. There are just totally beautiful creatures.
