Take pictures of the power lines and your fence.

Take pictures of the trees and brush they cut.

Take pictures of the horse's injury.

The power company only has an easement and it will only extend a certain amount of feet on each side of the power lines. Find the documentaion on that and get copies.

Document each time you have spoken to the Power company and who you spoke with.

Copy the letter from your vet that excused your horse from performing.

Copy your vet bills.

Write a letter requesting reimbursement of your Vet bills.

Request they send you written notification when they need to enter your property for any type of maintenance, including but not limited to brush and weed control... [even though not required by Law-request it any way]

Request that they send their response to you in WRITING.

Request a response from them within 10 days of receiving your documents.

Date your letter.

Once you have all the above information in hand:

Mail a copy of all the above items to the CEO of the company.

Mail a copy to EACH of the Power Company's Board of Directors.

Wait for the response, if it is less than satisfactory then go to your local media.

GOOD LUCK!

And if that doesn`t help There is a consumer hotline to the regulatory office in your state capitol that controls the power companies !! !! Or call the Attorney Generals office for your state !!

When you send the letters, send them certified so that they have to sign for them and request verification that they received them. It will cost more but well worth it.
