Thumbs up Amen!!!

You are doing a fantastic job. Keep it up. I have some pics of a before and after I got last Nov. and it has taken this long to get her back into looking good. You are great and she is very lucky. I'm certain she will be okay, just give her the supplements and work her slowly to build up those muscles.

Angry Previous owners should be prosecuted!!!

That is neglect!! Plain & simple!! That is cruelty!! I would have turned their asses in!! That is really terrible. How anyone could do something like that I'll never know. But anyway, it looks like she is in really good hands know so keep it up. I don't think I could give you any more advice about her care that the other people have not already covered. So, good luck & I hope the previous owners pay for what they did to that poor horse.

Yes, the previous owners were neglectful/abusive and starved the horse. An important medical issue to pay attention to is that she most likely has damage from parasites, to her intestines.
Keep her de-wormed on a regular basis, which will help her growth.
Often horses that have been starved like she has, will have been infested with parasites,
scar tissue in their intestinal tract is a result.
Be careful in what you feed her and introduce it slowely, assume there is some intestinal damage.
In assuming, hopefully, you can avoid colic, impaction or a twist.
Most of these horses will come out of their stunted growth by the age of 7 years when the problem has been stopped in time. I believe you have a good chance with her as she has been saved in her young growing years.
Good Luck!
