BEFORE SEPT 8TH 2009

This little girl needed ALOT of TLC she is now back on track tp a HEALTHY baby life shes had soo much attention. Cleared up BAD trush , feet trimmed , shots and coggins, wormed, bathed, clipped, and gained a good amount of weight and is still gaining. Emma is very immature for her age but as you see she is growing quite nicely. Hopfully the lack of nutrients didnt stunt her growth , she is a 2008 belgain warmblood. When she came to me she was very under weight as you see in the pictures above... she had trush soo bad tha she had no frog in any of her hooves. Her rain rott took over her entire body... She was soo weak that when you went and picked up her hoof to clean it you had to do it really quick because the slightest movement she would fall over. and for all yall horse people you know treating trush is not a quick thing.

That would depend on how long the starving went on !! If it was a few months, you can probably say that she will reach close to normal growth !! If it was longer perhaps not !! I would get her on a good supplement for optimal growth from here on !!

I use Gro-Colt by Farnam !! There are many good ones on the market !! Since she has not had the nutrition that she needed , she really needs a good supplement to give her all the trace minerals to make the body function like its supposed to !! Waiting till she is three is a good idea for the same reason,,she just hasn`t had the nutrition so bones and joints might not be as strong as they should !! Just remember that she will grow and fill out till she is 4 or five !! This next year will really tell you about her growth !! How tall is she now ??

She is beautiful! She is blessed to have you. Before & after pics of starving horses never cease to amaze me. They will look almost dead and with good care they are a beautiful horse in a few months. Yes, keep up the great work!
