Your friend still needs someplace to live.
Maybe she can rent out extra rooms in her house to help with expenses. If they bring a 'pet' she can charge extra.
Forgive me if I missed this-but-does she have acreage in which she could charge board for horses as well?
Every little bit helps.
She sounds like she is on the verge of giving up----DO NOT LET HER! Help her with new ideas and steer her into fighting for what she has.....let her know she has worked hard to get where she is and she needs to pull herself up by, 'the boot straps' and keep what she has built!
Her depression is making her look for an easy way out. Shake her up a bit, let her know she can pull out of this 'funk'. Let her know that you recognise what she has built, how STRONG she is and support what she has done.....make her take a stand in her own defense by building her up!
Give her some time and if she is the real deal she will appreciate your support and go forward with re-newed esteem! She will beat the downfall.
However-if she lays down and gives up easy---help her get to the nearest 'help' center for food and such.
Do not let her lye down and wet herself---sorry for the graphic---she needs a 'boot' in the butt if she is sincere!
